Criteria

Inclusion Criteria:

hypertension with left ventricular hypertrophy

Exclusion Criteria:

clinical or laboratory evidence of secondary hypertension
heart failure
ischemic heart disease
valvular heart disease
arrhythmias
peripheral vascular disease
chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
neurologic disorders
diabetes mellitus
renal dysfunction
notable systemic disease
