Active Ingredient History
Piperacetazine (Quide) is an antipsychotic prodrug, most notably used for schizophrenia. The study indicates that Quide is a useful addition to the armamentarium of the physician faced with the difficult problem of treating the chronic hospitalized patient with a schizophrenic illness. Side effects of the drug were generally mild, and there was no evidence that it would produce blood dyscrasias or liver impairment. NCATS
