Chlorthalidone is a diuretic that is used for the treatment of hypertansion and edema. The drug is approved by FDA and either prescribed alone (Chlorthalidone trade name) or in combination with atenolol (Tenoretic trade name), azilsartan kamedoxomil (Edarbyclor) and clonidin (Clorpres).
