Sulfamethizole is an oral antiobiotic, which was used against urinary tract infections under the name Thiosulfil. Sulfamethizole blocks bacterial growth by inhibiting folic acid synthesis via enzyme called dihydropteroate synthase. The drug is no longer marketed in the USA.   NCATS
